I have the honour to inform Your Grace that an action has been commenced against this Government by Pong Wei Ting, Mui Wai Tong and Ko Ho Ning in respect of the resumption of certain land in the New Territories.

Under Section 480 of the Code of Civil

Procedure Ordinance No.3 of 1901 the statement of claim has

been transmitted to me for consideration of the grant of consent to the continuance of the action.

I enclose a copy of the Statement of Claim together with a minute by the Attomey Generel and I should be glad if the metter could be referred for the opinion of

the Law Officers of the Crown.
